1. Position Title: Post-doc researcher
Number of positions: up to 3
Outline: Postdoctoral positions are available in the
Laboratory of Prof. Hideo Hosono at Tokyo Institute of Technology. The main
focus of the ongoing research is to develop the material science of
“electride” and its application to chemical reactions and electronics.
Currently we are investigating the catalytic and electronic properties of
electride. (references: Nature, 494, 336-341 (2013); Nat.Com. 4,2378(2013),
Nat. Chem., 4, 934-940 (2012); Science 333,71-74(2011), Science, 301,
626-629 (2003)). This work is supported by a fund from the ACCEL project
(October, 2013 – March, 2018) of Japan Science and Technology Agency (JST).
Appointed term: until March 31,
2018 with contract to be updated every year. Depending on continuation
of the ACCEL project, the contract will possibly be extended to the end of
the ACCEL project.
Treatment: The salary will be paid on the basis of the
employment regulations of Tokyo Institute of Technology. It will be
dependent on qualifications and experience of the successful candidate.
Qualifications: Skilled and
experienced with some of the followings.
(i) A PhD degree in solid-state chemistry, condensed matter physics, electronics, catalysis, organic chemistry or other related fields is required.
(ii) Design and development of new materials based on solid-state chemistry, physics, and catalysis
Minimum Qualification: Applicants should have a Ph.D. degree, or will obtain before the date
of the contract.
Expected start date: April 1, 2015 (preferable as soon as possible)
