How to prepare a manuscript for JTAC

The preferred language of the Journal of Thermal Analysis and Calorimetry is English, but French and German manuscripts are also accepted from authors whose first language is French or German. It is suggested that authors of papers in French or German should supply a translation of the abstract and keywords in English. All papers submitted for publication will be reviewed by two independent referees.

The manuscripts should not exceed 10 printed pages including references, tables and figures. Scripts should be submitted in one original and one duplicate laser-printed form. The original and the copy should include two sets of figures and tables. You should support us with a disk written by a well-known computer program preferably in Microsoft Word 6.0 or 7.0 (doc file) if it is possible.

The Abstract, which summarizes the original research in no more than 100 words, should be included as part of the main body of the text following the title/authors/affiliation. After the abstract, few keywords should be given in the paper. The recommendation of ICTAC and the IUPAC should be followed in the nomenclature, abbreviations and symbols. The figures should be in a form of A5 (146 x 210 mm) suitable for reduction and reproduction. Black and white photographs should be in form of glossy prints. Captions for illustrations should be brief and collected on a separate sheet. Tables, each bearing a title should be self-explanatory and numbered consecutively. The same information should not be reproduced in both tables and figures.

References should be indicated in the text by consecutive number; the full reference should be given in a list at the end of the paper in the following form:

P. O. Smith and Mary O'Connor, J. Thermal Anal. Calorimetry, 47 (1998) 517.

F. Paulik, Special Trends in Thermal Analysis and Calorimetry, Wiley and Sons, Chichester 1998, p.132.

The manuscripts should be submitted to the desk in course of the symposium.
