1. Position Title Associate Professor of Laboratory for Materials and Structures, Institute of Innovative Research

2. Research field

Innovative material preparation process
Development of new process for synthesis of new materials with advanced functions such as electrical, magnetic, or optic properties that cannot be attained by the conventional synthesis technique.
3. Minimum qualification Applicants must have a Ph.D. degree and ability to supervise graduate students.
4. Expected start date during 2016 FY or later.
5. Term of office 5 years, a possible maximum 5-years reappointment.
Salary: Annual salary will be paid according to the National University Corporation Tokyo Institute of Technology Regulations on Wage and Salary for Staff on the Annual Salary System.

7. Documents to be submitted

1) Curriculum vitae (with photograph, telephone number, e-mail and mailing addresses) including academic background, professional carrier after high school, applicant’s ResearcherID, and library-name of Google Scholar’s profile.
2) Summary of major research achievements to date (A4 paper; 2 pages or less).
3) List of research achievements categorized into the following types: a) refereed original articles, b) reviews and commentaries, c) books, d) patents. All authors in the same order as each publication should be clarified. Five representative papers should be marked the symbol of *.
4) Reprints or copies of five significant papers.
5) Explanation of the academic significance and importance of the five representative papers (A4 or letter size, upto two pages totally).
6) List of awards received, invited or keynote lectures of international meetings and grants.
7) List of acquired research and educational funds (fund name, project title, budget, and period of research or education project). Specify whether the applicant is the principal investigator or a co-investigator and the total and allotted budgets in the case of a co-investigator for each fund. Social activity records including activities in academic societies, and the list of awards.
8) Research and educational policy after taking this position (A4 paper; 2 pages or less)
9) List of the names and contact information (affiliation, address, and e-mail address) for two persons who can evaluate your work.
