1. Position Title Assistant Professor of Laboratory for Materials and Structures, Institute of Innovative Research

2. Research field

Novel functional oxide thin films
Experimental research on thin film fabrication, structural and physical property investigations of new functional oxide materials.
3. Minimum qualification Applicants must have a Ph.D. or Doctoral degree and ability to supervise graduate students and to give English classes on solid-state physics/chemistry, physical chemistry etc.
4. Expected start date March 1st, 2018 or later.
5. Term of office Appointment will be for up to 5 years. Reappointment may be possible. Employment is limited to a maximum of 10 years from the original date of employment.
Salary: Annual salary will be paid according to the National University Corporation Tokyo Institute of Technology Regulations on Wage and Salary for Staff on the Annual Salary System.
6. Affiliation Laboratory for Materials and Structures, Institute of Innovative Research (Suzukake-dai Campus).

7. Documents to be submitted

1) Curriculum vitae (with photograph, telephone number, e-mail and mailing addresses) including academic background, professional carrier after high school, applicant’s ResearcherID, and library-name of Google Scholar’s profile.
2) Summary of major research achievements to date (A4 paper; 2 pages or less).
3) List of research achievements categorized into the following types:
a) refereed original articles, b) reviews and commentaries, c) books, d) patents. All authors in the same order as each publication should be clarified.
4) Reprints or copies of representative papers (no more than three articles).
5) Explanation of the academic significance and importance of the above representative papers (A4 or letter size, up to two pages totally).
6) List of awards received, invited or keynote lectures of international meetings.
7) List of acquired research and educational funds (fund name, project title, budget, and period of research or education project). Specify whether the applicant is the principal investigator or a co-investigator and the total and allotted budgets in the case of a co-investigator for each fund. Social activity records including activities in academic societies, and the list of awards.
8) Research and educational policy after taking this position (A4 paper; 2 pages or less)
